Junior PHP Developer

We're looking for a developer at the start of their career to join our small team. You don't need commercial experience. If you've built things on your own or during your studies, that's enough to apply. The job starts with a one-month probation period.
What you'll do
- Build and improve features in our PHP web applications
- Write SQL queries and help design and update our MySQL database schemas
- Build pages and templates with PHP, HTML and CSS, and add interactive features with JavaScript and jQuery
- Fix bugs and maintain existing code
- Take part in code reviews and learn from experienced developers
What we're looking for
- Basic knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Hands-on coding experience (personal, university or hobby projects all count)
- Familiarity with Git
- Eligible to work in Latvia
Nice to have
- Experience with a PHP CMS or framework (Joomla, Laravel, WordPress or similar)
- Object-oriented PHP
- A GitHub profile or projects you can show us
- Good written and spoken English
Bonus points
- Knowledge of Polish
- Knowledge of German
- Knowledge of Danish
